You could be right, but I am not convinced any one will ride them. If the government would abandon Am Trac and find railroad companies willing to contribute I would say go for it.


Tons of people ride Amtrak every day. When the trains are relatively fast and convenient, ridership is significant and growing. Examples: the Bos/NYC/Wash route, LA/SD, Vancouver/Portland, MPLS/Chicago/St. Louise.......to name a few.
