A majority vote works fine for me. I like democracy.

Obama was reported on NYT to have said that he wants an up or down vote over the next two weeks on Obamacare.

Why doesn't he call for an up or down vote NOW?

Why not----Obama doesn't have the votes.

Political arm twisting will be the mode for 2 weeks (likely a little less) .

What Democrat or Republican wants to support his Obamacare failed agenda and then be faced with an electorate that doesn't want the abominable Obama legislation.

Hard economic times and Obama is throwing a monkey wrench in for business and for families with his requirements and mandates.

If Obama fails to secure enough votes, of course he will point fingers --and likely insult the American people and claim how ignorant the American people are not to want his Obamacare----his socialist programs.
