You talked about prevention as saving money, but it doesn't.

Yes, there is a study that makes this claim, but it imagines prevention as end of life extension. Prevention as ideally envisioned means education aimed at improving the health throughout people's lives...that includes smoking cessation, diet, activity, obesity prevention, education targeted at preventable chronic illnesses...that's to say nothing of the potential of life improvement.

Adding to costs isn't good for the majority, or for single individuals. except the one who's getting the benefit.

In that case you should be a supporter of a public OPTION.
