Hi Nicolas. I have also read reports that say the Asian countries are net sellers of gold since the devaluations. What the truth is I do not know. In general I would think that the price of gold to Asians would not have risen that much relative to last year as the POG has also fallen around 25% from its' recent highs.

Hi Nicolas, POG is mute in this instance. They are not consuming it. Only buying it and reselling it, all at the same price (borrowing it for a short time if you will). Their "added value" will be greater in terms of their own currency.
