My parents next door neighbor was one such fellow. When interest rates got ridiculously low he mortgaged his house to take advantage of the investment opportunities.

He retired when keeping the lab and staff employed became too much work. He spent the next two years trying to collect the Medicare claims that had bee rejected. It became a personal mission.

A couple years after that fun ran out because of the time limits he rolled over and passed away.
