I eyeballed the latest figures, which are from 2007. They ranged from 9-11.

Yes, the US is higher, from 5.2 to 16. From 1960 the percentage has tripled. But Europe has nearly tripled, too. It's not like they're immune. It's not like they've solved the problem.
