NO, you can't balance budgets by just raising taxes on the ultra wealthy, nor do I think I ever said we could.

BUT, having things get SO out of balance in this country has led to a diminishing of the American Dream. These wallstreet guys that are taking home 10's of millions in MY taxpayer money essentially are paying the SAME rate as I am.

Apparently the Estate Tax has become such a "horrific" thing now that everybody is rooting for Paris Hilton to inherit EVERY dime from her parents. It would be a real shame if she couldn't get every buck tax free.

I think that's crap.

I want spending cuts and much MORE efficiency in government, but I also believe in the progressive tax. A guy that makes 1 million a year is going to provide MORE jobs per buck of income than a guy that makes 1 billion a year.
