Ted, > Tell us, jimbo, the proper behavior for an American these days.

The proper behavior would be for the American consumer to buy the best car available and for the American worker to compete hard in a global marketplace.

The opportunity for Ford, GM, and Chrysler just presented itself with Toyota's troubles. However, Hyundai and Kia are thinking the exact same thing. And they employ plenty of Americans, most notably in the Southeast and in California.

I don't know about GM....still too early to tell but Ford's cars are looking damn good. When I can afford to buy again, the Ford Fusion will be near the top of the list.

LOGIC:

There are over five thousand religions on earth. Most insist only their religion is correct and all the others are false.

So it is like having to drive across a deep ravine knowing only one bridge is built correct and the other 4,999 are faulty.

How does one know which one to pick?

"The opportunity for Ford, GM, and Chrysler just presented itself with Toyota's troubles."

They had opportunity before. Ford, in particular, has been gaining market share in recent quarters.
