Charter schools are elementary or secondary schools in the United States that receive public money but have been freed from some of the rules, regulations, and statutes that apply to other public schools in exchange for some type of accountability for producing certain results, which are set forth in each school's charter.[1] Charter schools are opened and attended by choice.

Boy, do the Teacher's unions hate this kind of story. And use every argument they can come up with against it.

I just hope they haven't been accepted into colleges that have SAT averages above theirs. The pressure to enroll minorities causes this to happen all over the country.

Then, if they fail to complete, it really hurts them. If they go to colleges that are at their work and intel level, they succeed and life goes well.

What a great story! All kids, no matter their color, should be allowed to have that outcome! The ties are a stroke of genius....like a gold star, but one they can show off and wear proudly every day they feel like it.
