If you are going to sign up for socialized medicine when 65... Why does socialized medicine not make sense before age 65?

What kind of logic is that? If someone takes a free meal from Denny's on his birthday, what can you infer about his attitude about the practice of restaurants offering birthday meals? Would you infer that he thinks that all restaurants should do that? And that appliance stores should do it, too?

Perhaps he would prefer that restaurants skip the practice and take a couple of cents off each meal, instead, but since he's already paid for his free meal, he might as well take it.
