We owned at least 6 or 7 Hondas from 1977 to 2001 before finally getting our first Toyota, a Corolla 2001, which we bought 2nd hand with 11,000 miles under the hood. The early Hondas had a rust problem but later they got that under control. We right now own a Rav 4 (2008) and the Corolla (2001), which is in mint condition with 41,000 miles only on the meter.
Great cars!
But our early love affair with japanese cars started with Honda. Honda has class, whereas Toyota IMO really is a car for the masses.
