First of all, you have to understand who design/create AGP bus? It is Intel, isn't it?

The next one is "what do you expect from Intel, the technology loser?". This company is great in marketing, but not in technology innovation when they could not find one to copy from.

In all fairness, clearly this board is pre-production and surely
the eventual finished product will do better than this early version.
However if you are expecting the socket7 version of AGP to equal
the slot1 version in performance than you may be in for some
disappointment.
