Hardly. There were no budget surpluses. The deficit as a percentage of GDP increased. The welfare rolls did not decrease appreciably. By almost every parameter, the expansion under Reagan was no match for Clinton's expansion.

One of two things, Tim. You get it and you are simply promoting the party line, making you are a bald faced liar, or you are oddly dense. Which is it?

And yes, presidents do matter. Another BS myth from the right.
