Indonesian students throw shoes at pictures of President Obama From The Times March 6, 2010 timesonline.co.uk Indonesian students, angry at what they claim as President Obama’s “war on Muslims”, attacked his image with shoes outside the Parliament in Jakarta yesterday. The White House announced in early February that Mr Obama and his family will visit Indonesia this month. The trip has been keenly awaited by many in a country that has the world’s largest Muslim population. Many are hoping that it will herald the beginning of a new era in US-Indonesian relations.
