Obama has a different way of approaching issues than most of us are accustomed to. He knows the goals up front, he bids for time and then swoops for the kill. He demonstrated that with the increase in troop strength in Afghanistan. He held the Generals' feet to the fire, delayed his decision, made them think hard before he unravelled his hand. On the health care issue, he has used the bully pulpit to highlight the predatory nature of the insurance companies. Then out cam Anthem with the outrageous 40% hike in premiums and over time some more outrageous stories will unravel. At which point health care reforms will gain wider acceptability with the people by breaking the barrier of noise and propaganda put forth by the insurance industry and their cohorts.
