OK...I forgot about AMZN...But let me ramble on for a moment....The mindlessness of the market is again rearing its ugly head. How much longer will people keep throwing their money at some of these stocks with no regard to valuation etc etc? I am a holder of long as well as a few short securities, so I am pretty much in the middle of the road bull/bear wise, but this market needs a correction and it needs it soon or there will be hell to pay. I mean index funds for example you got 28 year old know it all kids who wouldnt know a bear if it came and bit them on the ass that are investing millions for people that also wouldnt know a bear if it bit them on the ass into 3%INTC 5%MSFT 2%CSCO etc ad nauseum MINDLESSLY!!! Our market is turning into one big Ponzi scheme where everyone is hoping for just one more greater fool to buy higher than them! (They forget that once the downturn happens theres no way they will be able to reach their broker to sell anyway.)....It would be worth everyones while to read "Extraordinary Popular Delusions the Madness of Crowds" by Charles Mackay.(It is available online I believe but do not have a link, I had the book since college days)... I admit I have been guilty of the crowds "BUY ON THE DIPS" mentality but how long will that last? Took the Japanese 10,000 points before THEY realized buying the dips couldnt work forever....Because if theres anything we DO know..history repeats itself(always in a slightly different way but repeats nonetheless). And I apologize because I have no intention of being some kind of doom and gloom guy. But the music has to stop sometime unless the market is going to go up and up forever. o):-)
