Target raised to a $1 Canada Lithium* (CLQ : TSX-V : $0.49), Net Change: 0.03, % Change: 6.52%, Volume: 1,391,112 No depression here. Canada Lithium popped after providing a resource update for its lithium project near Val d’Or, Quebec. The historic (non-compliant) resource of 15 Mt grading 1.14% Li2O has been upgraded through extensive drilling to include 31.6 Mt measured and indicated grading 1.11% Li2O plus 38.9 Mt inferred grading 1.12% Li2O; mineralization remains open to depth and along strike. Canada Lithium President and CEO, Peter Secker commented, "In less than two years we have advanced the Quebec lithium deposit into a project that could potentially sustain battery-grade lithium carbonate production, of some 40 million pounds annually, for a period in excess of 30 years.” A prefeasibility study is expected by month-end examining an open-pit mining operation with processing and conversion plant delivering 18,000 to 20,000 t/a lithium carbonate under an existing six-year marketing agreement with Mitsui. A pilot plant at LGS Lakefield is currently processing a bulk sample. Results will feed into a definitive feasibility study expected in Q2/11. Canaccord Adams Senior Mining Analyst Eric Zaunscherb believes that investors should be exposed to lithium exploration, development and production in the event that, for example, electric vehicle penetration exceeds expectations or senior producers have overstated their ability to ramp up production. He thinks risk-tolerant investors should focus on lithium companies with projects that are either: a) of a scale and potentially low-cost structure such that they could force their way permanently into the lithium club, or; b) be advanced enough to get into production rapidly, of a superior profitability (a combination of high-grade and low costs), and yet small enough to avoid the attentions of the defensive seniors. In Zaunscherb's opinion, Canadian Lithium,
