Kid when the ask and bid was 50% it was caught. Generally when that happens it is a clear indication in my opinion a short wanted to cover so they do that to stop the buying pressure. Since it appears to be brokers they merely started trading between the bid and ask. However, no I do not think they covered by the end of the day.
