Globalstar does have great potential. But potential isn't profit.

Come on Maurice!! You are turning BITTER!!

Their Net Income (Loss) has gone:

Q408 - (27.9)Million
Q109 - (21.7)Million
Q209 - (13.7)Milliono
Q309 - (5.5)Million

This with a broken constellation for two-way services. These guys could have just rolled up the carpets and said come back when the new satellites are up. Most of their network has little or no cash flow from operations due to the DOA satellites. They have made a go of it with just SPOT and Simplex, and damn near have the enterprise EBITDA positive again. They have 50 million in equipment Inventory on the books that has already been expensed.

It's like a Domino's pizza franchise that has broken ovens and dough mixers that has 4 months of flour, tomato sauce and pepperoni in storage and is still almost making money just selling Soda Pop!! YOU look at it and go.. Well, if we buy new ovens then how can this thing make a profit??? They are selling Soda Pop at a price that is too high. So if we buy the franchise and lower the cost of Soda Pop. We will have a truck load of teat suckers lining up for cheap Pop. You see... This thing can't make money.

The fixed costs of operating the network are still in the numbers. They just don't have any ovens to make the pizza's.

The greatest gains always go to those who take the greatest risks when others are fearful and doubt the potential and the promises.

Not always... It usually just requires some common sense. Like with the "Dearly Beloved". Quarterly Interest of over 100 million a quarter?? How anyone ever convinced themselves that, that was going to work is beyond me.. Even after Iridium when Teats Up. There was still some sort of "religious belief" that CDMA made Globalstar different.

At the end of the day.. All the CDMA in the world could not overcome Horrible Management and business model. It had little to do with fear and doubt. It had to do with sitting down with a piece of paper and pencil and removing the "emotions" from the equation.
