The implied message of the post amounted to an ad hominem. It might not be a direct one. The message was clearly formed as an insult to Nadine and an implication that she was merely repeating the opinions on a famous editorialist who generally pokes holes in democrat talking points.

It was impled that John does not like Rush. Thus a resemblance to him would be undesirable.
