"So" seems to imply that the idea strongly follows from what I said, I don't think that is the case.

I would oppose the societal tax associated with birth (in fact with declining birth rates in many places, the reverse may make more sense, not that I necessarily support it either).

If you have such a tax, I think high achievement usually provides its own rewards (more reliably so than any political effort), but I would oppose confiscatory taxation or other government efforts to level down or remove those rewards.
