He used a sample of more than 600,000, and controlled not only for the standard factors, but for how long the subjects went without insurance, whether their disease was particularly amenable to early intervention, and even whether they lived in a mobile home.

I haven't reviewed the detail of this study but at least it recognizes the need to link the lack of insurance with the death before suggesting cause and effect whereas the other one was oblivious to that link.

The mobile home bit is amusing but doesn't add any value that I can see.
