Tavros - your point makes sense. Although, I hadn't really thought about it that way. One research report I read said iDEN mhz functionally is 2.4x equivalent to reg cellular or PCS,(if I said that correctly). IOW, 10mhz for iDEN can be used as effectively as 24mhz of spectrum for PCS or cellular. The point of the writer was that less spectrum in a market didn't make NXTL's position less valuable compared to reg cellular. I'm not sure it make sense to even make the comparison on that basis anymore.
