Valence presenting to the investment community today & tomorrow.

This (and Red Chip, and the special-situation status of the shares, post correction) may help to explain the recent volume:

dom.aeanet.org

(Alta Vista Search Engine to the rescue! I called the company late this afternoon and they confirmed participation. See the Session 2 list.)

I guess I can't blame Red Chip for their conservative approach. The situation is attractive enough that an analyst has little incentive to go out on a limb. But, IMO, the above is the next step: BROKERAGE COVERAGE. These folks can be counted on to tell the real story to the big money clients, well ahead of issuing an official opinion.

The AEA Conference seems significant because of the large number of analysts attending and, perhaps more importantly, it's likely to serve as an official pronouncement by the company that they're in the battery business (to quote a paraphrase of a quote from FMK <g>.)
Cal and the gang have not exactly been advertising their progress up to this point.
This conference looks like a big production with all the brokerage people represented. Sheer probability suggests that the numbers we're all tossing around won't be lost on at least of few of the attendees. Valence will give seven 45 min presentations and, from the schedule on this website, it appears they gave their first one after the close today.

Watching that volume!
