Well... Oil had it's run. Now it's payback time.

Hardly. Carbon based liquid fuels will be the standard for at least another 100 years. North America's coal endowment will provide coal fired power, and feestock for GTL for at least another 100 years. Already oil prices are well above the price required for GTL. Now if Obama will wake up and provide the incentives for GTL, the USA can make great strides towards energy independence. So called tax payer supported "green" technology is a waste of precious human and capital resources.

"Oil has had its run"? Funny, RW just posted that oil demand is rising. Guess the "run" is still going on.

What does "payback time" mean?

"You pissed away a precious resource that can't be renewed."

Lithium is also a resource that can't be renewed.
