True story,
Driving down I95 to daughter's USMC graduation at Parris Island, spring of 2001, friend of hers from school, who was a bit strange in my book, insisted on coming along, but driving herself.

I am watching her in the rear view and she would disappear from view 15-20 seconds at a time. Now remember texting was not common then. I also found this unnerving as she was on my bumper and we were doing 75-80 mph all the way.
I had given her firm instructions, flash your lights if there is a problem, etc. etc.

First rest stop I pull over and say "What the H*&lL R U DOING Back There that I can't see you for long periods of time!!!???"

Honest to God, she said

"it's such a long drive, I'm bored, so I'm working on a crossword puzzle."

AARGHHH!!!!
