Lots of Wall Street types contribute to Democrats. Geithner in particular had connections to Goldman Sachs. Barney Frank and Chris Dodd also had plenty of Wall Street connections.

Walmart doesn't have nearly the amount of political influence that Wall Street and the UAW has on the Democrats.
