We talk about technology pace of development and today, we still are being screwed for every last cent for bandwidth.

Bandwidth used to be costly. Several technologies were used to squeeze as much information up a pipe to share it.

This historic price does not go away. Blame it on the regulatory environment developed for the time when technology was at its infancy and it was expensive.

That let the owners of the gates - the gate keepers- charge historic prices.

I can recall the Bubble times when bandwidth would have been available to everyone dirty cheap. Promise never came to light.
