Ted, > For two related reasons......health care reform goes against the GOP's IDEOLOGY and consequently, they are making a huge fuss over it.

Of course it goes against the GOP's ideology.

You refuse to believe that your own ideology can be called as such.

I never said that there is a not an ideology connected with the left. Not once.

You know you're a liberal, but you don't even realize just how much of a liberal you are.

I am a liberal. I understand the ideology that motivates liberalism. However, I don't always support that ideology when I don't think its in the best interest of the country......or my city or my state. For an example, most liberals [including me] are against the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq and wanted both wars ended asap. When Obama decided to do what he's doing with Afghanistan, many liberals went apesh*t. I didn't like it but I understood the thinking behind his decision and why its best for the country.

I don't like ideologues. I dislike their lack of flexibility. Its why I never belonged to a party until 2008. I don't believe there is one absolute way to solve a problem. And I do believe in fiscal conservatism when its appropriate.....which is most of the time but not all the time.

Finally, this country is becoming a nation of ideologues.....at least among the ones who are doing all the talking....and I don't like it.

Years ago everyone on earth thought the world was flat. Then we found PROOF it was round.

I could go on with that one all day long.
