Agreed, surprising as drivers we aren't taught even as to
how to stop a car in case of emergency.

Whereas I learned in London the first test you do on a car
is the brakes. Americans as a whole just want or believe everything will work out perfectly, I've always thought of
driving as looking for ways out of trouble.
