"But you know what? All that clowning around crap sure taught you how to handle a car though. Kids these days don't have a clue. When it iced or snowed we hit the mostly abandoned shopping center parking lot for fun and games. Nobody ever said a word to us.

Today you'd get put under the jail."

Just had an identical conversation with a young clerk at a store back during the last blizzard, the kid was obviously nervous. I said young fella, on a calmer day with a bit less snow, you go find a country road with no traffic, ditches, fences or telephone poles and go practice. You get stuck, you got a cell phone to call for help, which is something we didn't have back in the day...

After 50 years i have had a brain glitch and misused Malibu name for Impala.
As a result i have had to defend my honor to Slumdog----who i would challenge to a duel--weapons pistols, and at dawn if we could---that i feel about those that take an mistake from a distant memory to blow it up into a knives drawn smear post.
i do not, nor ever have been a hobbiest of these car, i was only "give me a machine"(i had this car from age 17-21) ---i just just bought a in in late 1958 a used 1958Impala with 1,000 miles on it, after being assured and shown it was loaded----it was, per salesmen, bought and then returned when buyer stated she had no idea it was so "hot" and it was too much for her.Max
i post again a photo of an exact likeness, except it color was Dark Blue.

Things i can say from drivers experience, it had a low center a gravity that made it a roaqdhugger, and was not the DISASTER of WINGED 1959 chevy, that aerodynamics were prolematic.
It was a physically STRONG car, i could blow though 2 to foot drifts two feet wide wind blow dry no snow road drifts at 80, which i did on a memorable trip from Philly to Ithaca.
