It's called a mandatory insurance and health savings plan. It should cost a lot less, Both in the health care bill. and nothing to the taxpayer. So the country would magically find $700B out of thin air? It would be cheaper because the politicians and lawyers wouldn't get a piece of the pie, Ok...i'll bite. How much of the pie do the politicians get? and private insurance companies keep a closer eye on fraud than lazy government workers. If fraud went to zero (unrealistic), Medicare would save ~60B/year. Private insurance pockets that in the Med Advantage program.
