Keep in mind that I am not passing judgement. I think insuring millions more is a noble goal. I just wish we could do it in a more market based manner.

That's not what you said in the post I was critical of. You basically agreed with Ten's post which said that the dems are doing this to ensure a Democrat political majority for the future...nothing noble if that's the motivation.

Likewise, I think enforcing individual savings for retirement through a government sponsored retirement plan is a great idea, but I just wish that they'd tag what I put into it to my social security number, so that I get a positive return on my investments, instead of using my money to pay for someone else's retirement.

That does nothing for the underprivileged and the uninsured...
