Sure citizenship usually has a value to the citizen, but it isn't a zero sum game. That value isn't taken from anyone else, it doesn't reduce the value available to others, in fact it tends to increase it.

I completely disagree. If that were true places like Gaza and Ethiopia would be wealthy. In order for a human life to have positive value it must first benefit from various resources from society. The foremost of them is an education including critical reasoning skills.

If fact places like the US tend to have lower birth rates. Until recent welfare changes the type of person trying to get into the Us was the highly motivated. It became one of the drivers of success.

People have value to society to the extent they produce more value than they consume. Families have value to society to the extent they produce more value than they consume.

I understand your reasoning. I also understand where it fails.
