"So many of the loans sold to the Govt did not meet the Govt's standards. The Govt I guess couldn't check them all? Well they are now, very carefully and actually going back and returning mortggages found not to meet their standards." Yep. Trying to force some of the lenders who acted fraudulently to eat their own product. (I think that's the absolute minimum they should be doing though. Sure hope to hear about many prosecutions later on in this year after they have dug through a significant portion of this paperwork....)
