No Jesus Ten. God is invoked as the "higher power". Jesus is never mentioned, or promoted. The majority of the people I referred to broke their addiction with no help from a ten-step program, just character, strength of will and the help of friends and family. Ten-step programs teach the belief that people REMAIN addicts, forever, just non-using addicts. The "users" of these programs often become addicted TO the program, sometimes attending several meetings a day, day after day, year after year. They believe program attendance is what keeps them from using. My pro musician younger brother is one of these unfortunates.
