Ted, > Yes, that's the purpose of Chapter 11. It doesn't take a genius to figure that one out.

Chapter 11 doesn't usually involve the government pumping $65 billion of taxpayer money into the bankrupt company just to clear away most of its debt obligation.

By the way, don't fool yourself into thinking that GM will pay every cent back. Consider that money "subsidies" now.
