Thread: Ian was obviously making a generalization about the definition of a "no-brainer" in his view when he made those comments.

You have to calculate your own EPS for 1998 for Cymer in order to see its value. The analysts per First Call have it currently at $1.06 which is way too low IMHO. But, hey, good size profits are made where you disagree with the street about a company's prospects and are willing to put your money on the table. Sure there is risk. I have assumed it and I have quantified it in my own mind.

I too had the Cabot reservations about Cymer and feared the Iomega type hype on that board. But the facts spoke to me. Besides Cabot just put in his sell recommendation which makes me feel even more comfortable. It doesn't hurt to have a $26 cost basis either.

As for Ira, your instincts are totally the opposite from mine. That is what makes a market. Without enough guys or gals like me, there would be nobody for you to follow with your market strategy. No offense. Different strokes.

Good Luck
