It's complex, but not really. Simpe garden-variety scam involving off balance sheet stuff designed to make the balance sheet look decent at the end of a quarter. Borrowed funny money used to ratchet down leverage but the liability for it not shown anywhere. A bit like Enron, if not exactly so.

Lehman, Fuld, Geithner...all in bed to prop up a dying co. Now here is the kicker, IMO, it was left to the wolves so that the criminal incompetence of the aforesaid might better escape scrutiny. And they will succeed because no one cares enough to raise the stink that needs to be raised.

I'm not sure how to interpret the charts. Do they mean that a .25% increase is thougt to be nearly certain in March, and an ADDITIONAL .25% increase is nearly certain for April, with a ~90% chance of a third .25% increase in June?
