If it gets enacted then we will have a chance to see the real results, and not just speculate about them.

And, if we don't like the real results (remember: many of the provisions would not phase-into-effect for several years) we will still have the opportunity to enact 'fixes', 'patches', or roll-out ever more serious cost-containment measures (which is something that I personally believe will be required... the problems of our far-too-costly health care are much to large for it to be otherwise, and too much is left out of this particular effort).
