Agreed, there are already too many people on the planet. What you save with medicine our politicians will just have to kill with wars and poverty so what's the point? No matter what science accomplishes there will be war and famine until people are able control their reproductive instincts. In other words, there will always be war and famine. I was reading about the oldest American just dying. Because of her and her offspring's breeding instincts they created something like 40 more humans over her lifetime. That's 2 to 40+ in 114 years. We NEED disease, war, and famine... or Soylent Green.
