Yes, and you are the one who asked for evidence of the claim.

In other words you asked for evidence about the lack of evidence. In other words your essentially asking for proof of a negative. That's silly.

In response to "GS had nothing at all to do with the level of problems with banks", than you could reasonably ask for evidence.

But in response to "there is no evidence that GS was beneficial in terms of keeping the banks from having severe problems", then why of course you can still ask for evidence, doing so is quite unreasonable.
