Let me showed what is real smartness: You should to look to facts not as they appear to be. For that is for the ignorant masses.

You must see for what things really ARE. Not what they look to the ignorant masses.

You look to foreign policy of US and play with it for your own gain.

Case in point is Brazil knowing US has little time and effort for foreign policy making.
We know that because US has enough on their plate with the Afghanistan and Pakistan thing.

We know for a fact Obama must dispel Bush era arrogance.

What you do with this knowledge? You act based on that knowledge. That because there is no way US foreign policy will react to your actions.

What Brazil did? Start implement their own foreign policy stepping in the toes of the US with the knowledge the US could no possibly react against.

Case in point Iran. why it can afford to anger Israel? because Israel without the US back up cannot act on their own.

Out comes the Brits with their oil thing in the Southern seas. very untimely act.

We gain advantage as the US immediately sided with LATAM.

Want to see what will happen if Brits make a move? Brits forgot that US has no friends. US has interests.

Let me fetch a quote from my book written 20 years ago.
QUOTE
For an European war to stop, it is necessary just to block the flow of external resources being im¬ported. During the 1956 invasion of the Suez, the U.S. threatened to deny petroleum supplies to France and Great Britain if they did not withdraw their forces. Europe was then 64% short of petroleum re¬quirements. Spare capacity available in Venezuela was owned by Gulf Oil and Creole Petroleum, President Eisenhower warned the British and the French that additional supplies from these sources would not be forthcoming until they agreed to total withdraw. UNQUOTE

Today, if US interests lie with LATAM, Brits will be thrown to the dogs.

By the way recall, Europe reluctance to go along Iraq's invasion. Samething. Europe had other interests.
