I am very happy with way Congress has handled Social Security you mean you are happy with how congress used the social security funds as a slush fund during the Clinton years so that it looked like we were operating without a budget deficit? That kind of handling? as long as the check shows up every month, the recipients are going to be happy. But what has been done to the social security funds is criminal. And Congress is the perpetrator.

You have to be stupid to be satisfied with the manner in which Congress over the years has spent the SS money and paid returns from the general treasury. However, the stupid part doesn't seem to matter to you.

Ken, That has got to be the dumbest thing you have ever said. SS went into deficit spending 10 years before it was expected. i guess you must figure you will be dead by the time the $h!t really hits the fan and don't really care.

Soooo, you're telling us you like how the Dem Congress for 40 straight years took money that came in for eventual Social Security payouts, and then the Dems spent all of it on other programs....now that more and more Seniors WHO HAVE PAID IN THEIR ENTIRE WORKING LIVES, will find nothing there in just a few years.... Is THAT what you're proud of....? With a track record the Dems have with Social Security and Medicare, and Medicaid.....all with the money nearly gone, you want to turn over to them a lollapaloza of a program.....17% of our Nations Economy, by their own measurement.....and let them ruin that too.... Good Lord.
