The Repubs had control for what....six years...after 40 solid Dem control in all 3 House, Senate and Adm.... Maybe they thought they had to just compromise and be accommodating to stay in control, which as you will remember, seemed to be most important. After this last year, we can ALL see what a takeover feels like...the Dems haven't given a dang about compromise, or what the other 49.9% of the country felt....they just have gone full blast forward with their own agenda. The Dems have by now should have convinced the Repubs that it does no good to offer compromise. We are having to live through times that we thought only happened in places like Germany. Hopefully, NEVER again will we as a country be so deluded.
