The first 10 minutes of The Daily Show was a Jon Stewart satire of Glenn Beck's silly tv show. It was a change-up for the Comedy Central show, which is usually a send-up of actual news. This was tough, because Beck's show is already a joke and he's either insane or a psychotic manipulator of those who don't know any better, and making fun of something that is so obviously not serious is difficult sledding.

The Stewart segment lasted a bit too long, but, not as long as Beck's sophmoric diatribes of illogicality. Still, he was building to a great finale and his imitation of Beck was spot on.

On The Colbert Report, a Jesuit was explaining why we wanted to help the poor and Colbert shouted at him, "don't you believe in capitalism?" The priest replied "of course I believe in capitalism. I went to The Wharton School." It caught me by surprise.
