KT,

She didn't run that poorly.

The original plan was for her to start in a month or so from now, but when the 5M race with Zenyatta came up they tried to accelerate her comeback.

The trainer said publicly prior to the race that she wasn't 100%. I assume he expected her to win anyway, but the horse that beat her ran quite well. RA stalked a faster than average pace and finished with a Beyer of about 100. That's not really that bad even though it's well off her peak. That race set her up quite well for her next start, but I guess they don't think she will be 100% by the time of the Apple Blossom. So they are going to pass. The ultimate goal is in the fall anyway.

Speaking of Mayweather, he and Mosley ARE submitting themselves to Olympic level drug testing for their upcoming fight. There's also a new boxing organization in Europe that will require all fighters to submit to Olympic level testing. So it would seem as I suggested, Mayweather was actually making perfect sense in trying to get boxing to catch up to the Olympics, cycling, swimming, horse racing etc... and some other sports where cheating is commonplace and the current standards are inadequate.
