I cannot exactly disagree. They certainly have put pomp & tradition ahead of common sense.

Certainly children will continue to be abused because the church doesn't want to admit it is wrong.

Pretty "un-godly".

But then this is the same church that claims it's members must be absolved of sin by (through) those same priests and not directly by god.

Somewhat more than negligence, I should say... :-)

But then we have Hitler's hero and the celebrated Christian who anchors the Protestant Movement for greg or e and his ilk--the hateful (Absolute-Value filled) Martin Luther--who called for the Jews to be driven out of the country, their houses burned...and WORSE. Absolute Truth, Absolute moral certainty--you just gotta love it, eh!

Today, such a hateful, bigoted, immoral man would be locked in a prison cell by all rational people...but he is a hero to thousands of Christian denominations and millions of believers.
