I just think it's crazy that we have to end up paying for the same stretch of road 4-times over the course of 25-years counting the loss of productivity and detour costs instead of paying maybe 50% more from the get-go.

BINGO!! I'm glad I'm not the only one who sees this.

But effectively the National Highway System and associated road networks have become a "jobs program". Built just to be "good enough" to last a few years, but then needing constant maintenance.

I think of how much money our governments could save if those resources could be directed to better purpose (or just reducing taxes.. ;0)

We need more gardeners out there to beautify the turnpike's potholes and city streets






and we need to do something about the gas guzzlers that fall into these holes



On second thought, if the potholes were planted with flowers I'm sure women who are driving on our roads would complain that someone filled up the mirrors and they can't put their makeup on while driving
