That looks like a nice pleasant spot to live in London. By coincidence I've previously spent some time exploring that city via Street View. My all-time favorite movie is 'The Last of the Mohicans', and there's a scene early in the film where young Alice Munro exclaims that she can't wait to return to Portman Square, having seen the wilderness. I Googled and found it was developed in the late 1600s, about 2 miles east of your father's place. Poor Alice never made it back to Portman Square alive, but now I can go there virtually. And Google has just barely started: eventually Street View will be upgraded to 3D, with sounds and smells! :0)
